Vietnam Airlines to pilot vaccine passport

During an online meeting on March 17, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc directed related agencies to prepare plans to reopen international flights and pilot vaccine passport plan as the pandemic has been better controlled and immunisation programmes have been carried out internationally. The vaccine passport plan has also been implemented in some countries.

The plan has received support from many firms and agencies in order to resume businesses and trades.

According to Vietnam Airlines, they have experience in transporting passengers and goods and ensuring public health safety during the past year. Vietnam Airlines is still operating repatriation flights and cargo flights. They are ready to work with the authorities to carry out the plan.

Vietnam Airlines also said that they have been following the situation in different countries and have plans to start selling tickets and resume flights when the time is right.

All international flights are operated with the strictest preventive measures and safety standards. These are important factors to launch the vaccine passport plan and reopen international flights.
