The centre reported the cold weather would affect some north-eastern localities from this evening and would expand other areas in the region and the northern central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

A light cold snap has been forecasted to hit the northern region of Vietnam from this evening
Lowest temperatures of 16-18 degrees centigrade are expected.
Meanwhile, the southern region would continue facing hot weather in some days to come with highest temperatures of 35-36 degrees centigrade. Ho Chi Minh City’s UV index is predicted to be dangerously high and people are recommended to avoid sunlight.
Hail, thunderbolt and strong wind have also forecasted to hit some northern localities.
