While operating the flight coded QR8082 from Doha to land at Noi Bai International Airport, the pilot failed to control the speed. As a result, the airplane surpassed the parking line by 1.1 metres.

Right after that the carrier co-operated with Hanoi Ground Services Joint Stock Company to adjust the airplane into the right place.
The case has been reported to Vietnamese authorities for the consideration.
With this incident, the pilot may be fined VND7.5 million (USD326.08).
A similar mistake occurred on an Asiana Airlines South Korea to Hanoi flight OZ387 at the end of 2020.
A pilot of Emirates’ flight EK8952 from Dubai to Hanoi also exceeded the parking line by 1.3 metres.
A similar case was also reported at Phu Quoc International Airport for Vietnam Airlines’ flight.
This can possible damage the planes according to experts.
