Over the past week, Hanoi has reported 20 locally-infected Covid-19 patients.

It is easy to see lots of people in Hanoi failing to wear a face mask in public places despite the current Covid-19 outbreak with many locally-infected cases.

People still gather at street-side water stalls, coffee shops and many other places without using a face mask and ensuring the minimum safety distance of two members as required.

Meanwhile, under the government’s newly-issued Decree 117, from September 28 last year, people who do not wear face masks in public places are subject to a fine of VND1-3 million.
