Many people have taken viral testing in Hanoi.

Hanoi CDC said a newly-confirmed patient in Quang Ninh had a house in Tu Lien Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi. The patient stayed in Hanoi from January 13 to 19 before returning to work at Van Don Airport. They are carrying out contact tracing task to find out who had had contact with the patient.

"The patient returned to Quang Ninh a week ago but we'll take all preventive measures to ensure public safety," said Khong Minh Tuan, deputy director of Hanoi CDC.

The authorities in Hoan Kiem have quarantined the residents at 88 Hang Gai Street after they had close contact with the patient, who is the residents' relative. The patient visited his grandmother on January 18. The patient's grandmother and uncle were quarantined at the City Police Hospital. Others are home isolated. "We have disinfected the house and tested the residents," said Dinh Hong Phong, vice chairman of Hoan Kiem People's Committee.

The authorities in Thuong Tin District also asked a household in the area to home isolate on January 27 as a family member returned home from Quang Ninh. The family member is a doctor working a hospital in Quang Ninh where a confirmed patient had visited.

24 people in Hai Duong who had had contact with new Covid-19 patients were detected and tested. The initial results came back negative.
