The number of guest workers from Binh Dinh Province sent to other countries dropped to 435 people, only reaching 54.4% of the set goal for 2020.

According to the Binh Dinh Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, they had provided counselling about job hunting, vocational training and guest workers to 21,600 people, a decrease of 42.4% compared to 2019. They introduced jobs to 1,650 people, a 40.02% decrease compared to 2019.

In 2020, they also worked with the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies-Binh Dinh Branch to provide a total of VND12.4bn of bank loans to 156 people to be guest workers overseas. Nearly VND288m (USD12,400) was also given to 68 people who are entitled to preferential policies to learn foreign languages and pay fees to complete procedures to travel overseas.

The Binh Dinh Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has focused on markets that offer high salaries like Japan and South Korea. As of now, 435 people have joined the guest workers programme. Of which, 415 people went to Japan, three went to South Korea, 10 went to Taiwan and seven went to different countries.

The local authorities also issued permits to 111 foreign workers to work in Binh Dinh.

Despite difficulties, Binh Dinh Job Service Centre had held 18 working sessions with Quy Nhon Job Service Centre. A total of 1,811 people had attended 16 sessions held by Binh Dinh Job Service Centre with 123 firms. 310 people were able to find jobs.
