Hanoi will host firework displays at three locations on New Year’s Eve.
Under a plan recently issued by the municipal people’s committee, besides Hoan Kiem Lake, high-range fireworks will go off at Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung Street and My Dinh National Stadium in Nam Tu Liem District.
The fireworks will begin at midnight and last for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, HCM City will organise high-range fireworks at the entrance of Thu Thiem Tunnel in District 2 and at the 81-floor Landmark 81, Vietnam's tallest building on New Year’s Eve.
