The bridge, the 18th built in Vietnam with support from Dantri/DTiNews readers, was put into operation on December 20 after three months of construction.
Thanks to the bridge, people in Huoi Thum Village in Ky Son District will not have to cross Ca Nan Stream anymore.

The bridge’s total investment is estimated at around VND400 million (USD17,391) donated by Garment 10 Corporation Joint Stock Company (Garco 10). The construction work is 24 metres long and 1.7 metres wide.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Xeo Van Huong, head of Huoi Thum Village, Xeo Van Huong, said that local people dreamed of having such a bridge. He expressed his deep thanks to Dantri/DTiNews and the donor.
At the event, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Dantri/DTiNews Nguyen Xuan Toan, said that this was the sixth bridge funded by Garment 10 Corporation Joint Stock Company through the newspapers in Vietnam and the third in Nghe An so far.
The bridge has a total investment of VND400 million.
Before the bridge was built, local students had to cross Ca Nan Stream.
Toan thanked the donor for the assistance as well as local authorities for helping ensure the project’s pace.
Huoi Thum Village has 40 households with a total 210 people. Most of them are from the Kho Mu ethnic minority group. It is among the most disadvantaged villages in Na Ngoi Commune.
At the event, the Vietnam Learning Promotion Fund also granted gifts worth VND70 million in total to poor students in the village.
