Vietnamese citizens in Germany repatriated

Around 310 Vietnamese citizens from Germany returned to Vietnam through a flight by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Around 310 Vietnamese citizens from Germany returned to Vietnam through a flight by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

The flight landed at Van Don International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh today, December 18.

Passengers on the flight are children aged below 18, workers with expired visas or labour contracts, the elderly, the sick, students who have completed training but lack accommodation because of shut dormitories and others facing special circumstances.

Vietnamese representative offices in Germany assisted the passengers to travel Frankfurt for the flight as well as offered them support in check-in procedures.

After arriving at Van Don, all passengers and crew members were sent to quarantine sites as regulated.

On December 16, roughly 350 Vietnamese citizens from over 30 countries in Europe, Africa and South America were also brought home.
