The Nanocovax Covid-19 vaccine is developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC and the Military Medical Academy.
Quang added that 60 people aged between 18 and 50 will be selected among volunteers for the first phase of the vaccine trial which began on December 17.
The test will last for 56 days from the day given of the first injection. The participants will be medically-monitored for six months.
Ho Xuan Nhan, director of Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC, said that the firm had spent VND20 billion (USD869,565) on buying a health insurance package for people participating in the vaccine test.
