Hanoi people struggle against chilly weather

Hanoi is undergoing the coldest period since the beginning of winter with a sharp temperature drop.

  

On Tuesday evening, Hanoi’s temperature was at 11 degrees centigrade. It was easy to see fires used to fend off the cold on local streets.

Ha Van, a vendor on Vo Chi Cong Street, Tay Ho District, said that fire is an effective way for her to attract customers who come to enjoy roasted corn and sweet potatoes.

Many people seem to be interested in this weather and go out for experiencing the first biting cold wave this winter

 

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the northern region of Vietnam would see 4-6 intense cold fronts from now to the first two weeks of January.
