The households are located by Ba River in Ia Pa and Krong Pa districts and Ayun Pa Town.

In Ia Pa District alone, up to 326 households have been moved to safe places. Meanwhile, hundreds of other households in Kim Tan, Chu Rang and Po To communes have been also isolated due to inundation.
The heavy rain and the water discharge of local hydropower plants have seriously submerged National Highway 25. A large area of crops by the Ba River have been flooded.
Storm Etau has brought torrential rain for the Central Highlands since November 9.

Fishing boats are also banned from going offshore from 2 pm on Wednesday to ensure safety as Storm Vamco nears.
Binh Dinh is home to 6,000 fishing boats with dozens of thousands of workers.
