The flight taking 280 Vietnamese people from Russia landed at Cam Ranh Airport in the southern central province of Khanh Hoa today, October 11.

Around 350 Vietnamese citizens have been brought home from Russia, Mozambique and Norway on two flights.
The flight arranged by Vietnamese and Russian authorities and budget airline Vietjet Air include children under 18, the elderly, pregnant women, people with illnesses, students without accommodation, stranded tourists, and workers with expired contracts and visas.
The other flight conducted by Qatar Airways transported 50 Vietnamese nationals from Mozambique and Norway landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Strict Covid-19 prevention measures were enforced during the flights to protect passengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease.
Right after arriving at the airports, all the passengers were provided health checks and sent to Covid-19 quarantine areas as stipulated.
The Vietnamese government has pledged to bring home more Vietnamese nationals in Covid-19-hit countries based on their needs and the nation’s current quarantine capacity.
The country remains closed to foreign arrivals, except for people repatriated or foreign experts and highly skilled workers individually approved to enter.
