The Politburo has decided to appoint Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Le Minh Hung as new Chief of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC) Office.

Hung replaces his predecessor Nguyen Van Nen who had been recommended as new Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Hung, who was born in 1970 in Son Tan Commune, Huong Son District in the central province of Ha Tinh, holds master degree of public policy.
In November 2011, he was appointed as Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam.
In 2014, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the CPVCC Office.
Hung was appointed Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam on April 9, 2016./.
