The new Mien Dong (Eastern Region) Bus Station located in District 9 has a total investment of VND4 trillion (USD173,913), including VND740 billion for the first phase.
The first phase of the 16-hectare station will be put into operation today, October 10.
The main information centre is placed in the main hall. The station also includes areas for exhibition and shopping.
Elevators and escalators are also installed. Big screens are arranged at 16 ticket stalls.

The station’s first phase has six gates.
It will serve 71 routes of over 1,100 kilometres each. Those routes have been shifted from the old station in Binh Thanh District.
