Bac Giang Department of Health announced that a man from Luc Nam District has been tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 after arriving in Japan on September 26 as a guest worker. On September 25, he went to the airport with five family members including his father, mother, sister, girlfriend and the driver.Luc Nam People's Committee has directed Thanh Lam Commune People's Committee to announce the news to his family and carry out disinfection and preventive measures. Five people who went with the patient to the airport will be quarantined at the Centre for Defence and Security Education.
As of the early morning of September 27, the local authorities identified 20 cases that had made contact with the patient's family members. They will self-isolate at home.
Large gatherings will be temporarily banned as preventive measures implemented.
