The event will see participants compete in a 10km run around pedestrian streets in the capital.
As many as 1,000 professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes are set to take part in the event, according to the Voice of Vietnam.
All proceeds from the event will be sent to a charity programme to provide surgeries for disadvantaged children suffering congenital heart defects.
