According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, director of the Danang Department of Tourism, the department has asked tourism service providers to store visitors’ information for 30 days for track and trace precautions.

Representatives from the city’s tourism service providers have pledged to conform to the instructions and their staff will continue wear masks and use hand wash.
Nguyen Hoa, deputy director of the Danang Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, said that Danang had entered the 28th day of without any new Covid-19 community infections. One-third of the city’s population have been provided with Covid-19 tests.
At present, Danang is safe to reopen its tourist services, Hoa added.
Cao Tri Dung, chairman of the Danang Tourism Association’s Chairman said that some tourist sites in Danang have been resumed. The city is scheduled to hold a meeting to announce the second tourism stimulus programme in October. Many tourism firms have registered to join the event.

Earlier, vice chairman of the Danang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh, worked with the municipal Department of Tourism on a plan to restructure the city’s tourism sector by 2025 and a vision until 2030.
The city will focus on diversifying international and domestic visitors to reduce the dependence on Chinese and South Korean visitors.
The city will develop more tourism products besides sea tourism, such as festivals and cultural events and river tours.
