This year, new-school year opening ceremonies were more simplified than usual for Covid-19 prevention.
Most of the students had to wear masks, use hand wash and were provided with temperature checks at the ceremony.
Schools which have a large yard can allow all of their students to take part in the ceremony. Meanwhile, those who do not have enough area, need to balance the participation of student numbers. So, at many schools, the ceremony has also been held in classrooms.
The event must not last more than 45 minutes.
In the central city of Danang where the Covid-19 pandemic remains complicated, the ceremony was held online to ensure safety.
