Nearly 280 Vietnamese citizens from 11 European countries have just been brought home on a repatriation flight which landed at the Danang International Airport on Wednesday.

Nearly 280 Vietnamese citizens from 11 European countries returned home on a repatriation flight which landed at the Danang International Airport on July 22.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese government has cooperated with the governments of 11 countries including Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary over the past two days to arrange the flight.
The passengers included children aged below 18, the elderly, people with illness, workers with expired labor contracts, and tourists stranded due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
All the passengers had been instructed to travel to airports in Bucharest and Warsaw with support from the embassies in Romania and Poland to complete boarding procedures.
Right after landing at the Danang International Airport, all the passengers and the Vietnam Airlines flight crew members were given health check-ups and sent to quarantine in accordance with current regulations.
This is the 60th rescue flight organised by the government since April 10, bringing home 14,723 citizens from foreign countries and territories, the ministry said. And more such flights will be conducted in the coming time.
According to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Vietnam has reported a total of 401 Covid-19 patients as of July 22 morning.
The country has gone 96 consecutive days without reporting any community transmission case since April 16.
