
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the flight was arranged by authorities of the two countries and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
Passengers included children under 18 years old, the elderly, people with illness, pregnant women and workers whose labour contracts had expired.
They were all given health check-ups and quarantined upon arrival in accordance with the current regulations.
This is the 37th repatriation flight arranged by Vietnamese authorities since April 24, transporting about 10,070 passengers stranded abroad due to Covid-19 pandemic, official data showed.
As of July 9 morning, Vietnam reported 369 Covid-19 infection cases, including 347 recovered cases, said the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
