Five killed, eight injured in truck collision in Dak Nong

At least five people have been killed and five others injured after two trucks collided at a roadside market in the central highlands province of Dak Nong early Saturday morning.

A truck overturned after being hit by another truck and fell onto many people in Dak Nong Province on June 13.

According to Chairman of Dak Mil District People's Committee, Tran Van Thuong, the accident occurred at 6.10 am on Ho Chi Minh Road at Dak R’la Commune, Dak Mil District when a truck suddenly hit another truck which was being parked on the roadside.

The collision overturned the parked truck which fell onto many people at the market. Three were killed at the site and two others died after being rushed to a local hospital where five other injured people are being treated.

Police are further investigating the cause of the accident.
