The incident occurred on flight VN1463 on Chu Lai-HCM City route on May 26. When the flight was about to depart Chu Lai Airport, the woman was reminded by a passenger behind of reclining her seat and asked her to keep the seat upright. However, she did not agree, instead, she became furious and insulted the passenger.

When the chief flight attendant came to handle the case, the woman continued using the foul language towards her. The behaviour was reported to the captain.
Under the Vietnamese aviation regulations, she was then expelled from the flight and was handed over to the management board of Chu Lai Airport. After that, she was fined VND8.5 million.
As a result, the flight was 30 minutes later than scheduled.
