A school project has just been completed in the central highlands province of Dak Nong with joint support from Dantri/DTiNews Online Newspaper and the Thanh Cong Group (TC MOTOR).

The La Van Cau Primary School which is Dantri/DTiNews' first school project in the central highlands region costs over VND 1.5 billion (USD 65,217).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the school on May 19, deputy chairman of Dak G'long District People's Committee, Nguyen Van Hop, said that with this facility, hundreds of students in the area won't have to travel up to 20 kilometres through rivers and difficult roads to school.
"Life in this area is very difficult as nearly 2,000 residents are living without tap water, electricity, telephone coverage, health centres, schools or proper roads," he said. "I believe that this school project will help change the lives of local people. We want to send our sincere thanks to Dantri Newspaper and TC MOTOR for this valuable support."

Head of Dantri/DTiNews' office in the Central and Central Highlands regions, Nguyen Dinh Hoa said that he hoped the school would help improve knowledge for local people and contribute to hunger elimination and poverty reduction in the area.
“The project will also help spread the good values that Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper and TC MOTOR are building together," he added.
