On Thursday morning, Nguyen Duyen An, 52, in Bao Lam District’s Loc An Commune and nine others visited Lieng Ep Waterfall. When the group were relaxing at the waterfall and took photographs, a flash flood occurred. People quickly tried to run away. But An slipped and fell into the water.
The area where the victim was found
On the afternoon of the same day, the victim was found dead at the waterfall area by rescuers.
Lieng Ep Waterfall is situated between Di Linh and Lam Ha districts in Lam Dong Province. The waterfall has a very nice stone bank but it is located within Dong Nai 2 Hydropower Plant’s water discharge area.
The plant investor Trung Nam Power Company had installed a signboard to warn of the dangers for visitors in the stone bank area.
