Vietnam Airlines suspend flights to Taiwan, Russia

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced a halt of flights between Vietnam and Russia and Taiwan from March 19 amid the Covid-19 spread.

The most recent flights on the two routes which have been cancelled are VN63 from Hanoi to Moscow and VN570 from HCM City to Taiwan.

Passengers buying tickets for flights between Vietnam and Russia and Taiwan will be allowed to change journeys or flight dates for free of charge, starting from March 19.

The suspension will last until Vietnam Airlines’ further notice.

The carrier has also ceased flights between Vietnam and France from Tuesday. However, the firm has still maintained flights between Vietnam and the UK and Germany.

Vietnam Airlines has suspended flights between Vietnam and Malaysia from Wednesday.
