Petroleum prices in Vietnam were cut from the afternoon of March 16, following a decision by the ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance.

From 3 pm today, the retail price of RON95 and biofuel RON92 was reduced by VND2,315 and VND2,290 per litre respectively. The price decrease for diesel oil, kerosene and mazut is VND170; VND1,353and VND1,830 per litre consecutively.

Petroleum prices in Vietnam drop

Based on the price decline, RON95 and RON92, diesel, mazut and kerosene are sold at less than VND16,812; VND16,056; VND13,035; VND10,501 and VND11,846 per litre.

This is the fifth consecutive petroleum price decrease in Vietnam so far this year.

The ministries have also agreed to use VND200 from the petroleum price stabilisation for a litre of E5RON92. The level for RON95, kerosene and diesel is at VND800 and mazut at VND100 per litre.

Petroleum prices on the world market have fallen due to the impact of Covid-19.
