
A British man is detained for robbery in Ho Chi Minh City on February 10
Police in District 1 announced on February 10 that they have detained John David Ablett, 44.
According to the police report, the man came to a Circle K convenience store on Nguyen Cu Trinh Street late on Sunday evening. He threatened the shop assistant with a knife, asking her for money. The shop assistant gave him VND2.6 million (USD113). She then called the police after the man left.
Police found the man at the 23/9 Park, seizing a knife and the money.

At the police station, John David Abett said that he was homeless and lived around District 1 and had stolen the money to live off.
Police are further investigating the case.
