At around 2:30 am on December 27, Kazuhiro Kusumoto and his wife and children arrived at Phu Quoc International Airport. They caught a taxi to a hotel in Duong To Commune.

However, when arriving at the hotel, they found that their bag with the documents, credit cards and cash had been lost.
After that, the hotel staff and the airport security force tried to look for their lost belongings, including the announcement on Facebook, but they failed.
Some local people took them to the police station for the help.
An owner of a company in Phu Quoc Island invited them to come to his home to stay while waiting for their bag to be found. He also took the Japanese guests to visit famous sites in the island such as Phu Quoc night market, Ong Lang Beach and Rach Vem fishing village.
A day later, a construction worker picked up a bag on a local road and he posted the information on Facebook. Facebook users shared the information and then the workers handed over the bag to the Japanese tourists.
On Sunday evening, the Japanese family left Phu Quoc for HCM City and they will return to their hometown today, December 30.
