Hien will be demoted to second lieutenant. She has also been requested to end her career as a police officer.

Hien has also been expelled from the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Hien was seen using abusive language to scold airport staff in a video. She then kicked and pulled the hair of a security agent, and disturbed the check-in desk order on August 11.

She got angry when staff at the airport refused to transport her fifth suitcase in the free baggage allowance.

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam imposed a flight ban on her until late August 2020 for disrupting work in the airport.
