
Khanh Hoa prepares for new storm
The National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting announced that as of November 6, the storm was 320km away from Southwest Cay Islet. In the next 24 hours, the storm will move slowly to the east at the speed of 5km per hour and will get stronger.
In the following 48 to 72 hours, it will move to the west at 10km per hour. On November 9, it will be 240km away from Southwest Cay Islet.
Since November 3, the authorities and people in Truong Sa Island District have prepared for the storm. 114 fishing boats from Quang Ngai, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh have been guided to shelters. The authorities on all islands also prepare to evacuate residents to safe areas if necessary, provide guidance to fishermen and teach local people about first aids.
Khanh Hoa provincial authorities asked all agencies to update the information and monitor the fishing boats in their areas.
