The new decree will force firms to install cameras on trucks and passenger transportation vehicles with more than nine seats to monitor the drivers by July 1, 2021. The data must be transferred to the police and inspectorate upon requests.Firms must keep at least 24-hour recording for vehicles on 500-km trips and 72-hour recording for vehicles on longer trips.
The Ministry of transport also requested all kinds of taxis to have a lightbox sign on their roof, including tech-based ones. According to the ministry, this regulation aims to ensure that both traditional and tech-based taxis are treated fairly and to improve government management over both types of taxis both via signage and GPS.
