According to local authorities, the incident occurred at 7:30 this morning when tourism boat Viola QN 2972 with four crew members on board travelling from Vinashin Port to Bai Tu Long Bay, suddenly hit into ship HNA 0208 transporting stone.

The crash caused water to overflow the engine room and then the boat quickly capsized.
Four crew members in the boat were rescued by another tour boat which was operating nearby.
The case is under investigation.
