South Korean authorities have also arrived in Vietnam to work with the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam over the case.

The TW 123 flight was from Seoul to HCM City. According to the pilot, they were landing when the incident occurred. The plane was 2,000 feet above the air when the crew members suddenly felt that something had hit the nose of the plane. The pilot quickly contacted the control tower for support in case of an emergency.

The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority said they hadn't been able to identify the object that had hit the plane.

The plane landed safely at Tan Son Nhat Airport but the nose of the plane was badly damaged after the collision and must be kept at the airport for repair.

The ground staff have checked the runway and taxiways but haven't found anything.
