According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, coastal areas from Nghe An to Thua Thien-Hue provinces would face strong winds and heavy rains of up to 100-250mm.

By 4 am this morning, August 30, the tropical pressure affected the mainland of Quang Binh Province. It would go into the border areas between Laos and Thailand by 4 pm today.

This morning, the sea areas from Thanh Hoa and Quang Tri provinces saw powerful winds.

Many northern and central localities have been predicted to experience heavy rains today. This would last until the end of September 2, including Hoa Binh, Son La, Yen Bai and Phu Tho.

From now to September 1, rains would ravage the Central Highlands and southern regions.
