 Three Chinese men are seized in the investigation of the murder of a taxi driver in the area.


According to police report, on August 8, the 53-year-old taxi driver was transporting the three Chinese men from Huu Nghi International Border Gate to Hanoi at the agreed price of VND1.5 million (USD65).


The three men allegedly killed the driver while going through Bac Giang Province, then drove the taxi back to Son La. When they were driving through Hoa Binh Province, the car broke down. They left the taxi and allegedly threw the body of the driver into the nearby Da River.

The taxi was found by some local people who reported it to police. There was blood on the car and the windows were broken. The body of the driver was then found in the Da river.

The taxi is found in Hoa Binh Province


The three men were detained on August 9.


Police are further investigating the case.
