One student dead, one missing in Quang Nam swimming incident

One has been found drowned and another has remained missing as a group of six boy high schoolers were enjoying a beach swim in the central city of Danang.

The students who are all 16 years old are from Phan Thanh Tai High School in Hoa Vang District.

  

Rescue teams have continued searching for the remaining victim

At around 4:45 pm on Wednesday, they came to Tan Tra Beach to swim. Unluckily, the met a backwater zone in the area which is quite far from the rescue team. After that, four among them were saved by local residents, while the two others went missing.

This morning, the body of one of the two missing victims was found at the beach in Viem Dong Village, Quang Nam Province.

Meanwhile, rescue teams have continued searching for the remaining victim.

Strong wind and rough seas are causing difficulties in the search.
