The incident happened this morning, July 26, on flight VN1262 which left HCM City at 6:40 for Vinh City in the central province of Nghe An.
Vietnam Airlines' airplane made emergency landing in Danang on July 26
Around 40 minutes after the take-off, a woman’s left breast began bleeding due to pressure disparity. She asked a flight attendant for cotton and bandages. The injury was the result of her recent breast plastic surgery.
The captain made an announcement calling for medical help from passengers on board. A doctor on the flight tried to stem the bleeding, but the condition did not improve much as at that time the aeroplane was at the height of 10,000 metres with a high-pressure disparity.
The captain then decided to make the unscheduled landing at in Danang.
At Danang International Airport, Vietnam Airlines contacted the airport medical unit for an ambulance to take the woman who was on the flight alone. She was quickly moved to Hoan My Hospital with the support of Vietnam Airlines staff.
After that, Vietnam Airlines resumed the flight and landed at Vinh Airport at 9 am.
