Danang Ob-Gyn and Paediatric Hospital has received many children who mainly contracted respiratory and digestive problems, particularly on hot days since early this month.

On April 25, hundreds of parents along with their children waited for medical check-ups at the hospital. Nguyen Thi Vy, 34, from Thanh Khe District took her 16-month-old child to the hospital with a cough, running nose and lack of appetite.

According to doctor Vo Duc Minh from the hospital, respiratory and digestive diseases rise during hot days.

The hospital has served around 1,000-1,500 children daily on average since the beginning of this month, up 30 -50% against normal. The hospital has sent five more doctors to the examination ward.

Minh advised that children need avoid sudden temperature changes in hot weather.
