During an inspection to the Hanoi race track on April 15, Formula One CEO, Chase Carey claimed next year's inaugural race in Hanoi would be "uniquely exciting" thanks to a street track he hopes will help make the event a global spectacle.
"We think this track can really be a special race that provides some uniquely exciting racing and competition," he told reporters.
"It's the combination of a city race - a street race which always has some special elements to it, and a track that I think we've really had the opportunity to work (on) from day one," he said.
The course has been designed "in a way that we think can deliver some special racing for fans," Carey added.
The track is near to Hanoi's My Dinh stadium, about 13 kilometres from the city centre.
