Their playground is full of mud so the children can hardly play outdoors after rain.
After their situation was published on Dantri, many people called and donated to the school to build a new classroom, staff room, toilet, playground and fence for VND200m (USD8,600). Dr Cao Huy Tan from Bao Son Hospital, donated VND117m on January 31 while an anonymous donor gave VND20m.
On April 3, Tan Hoang Minh Group transferred VND60m, which was donated by their employees and customers to Dantri Newspaper to help build a new classroom for the children.
Tran Hong Son, deputy director of Tan Hoang Minh Group, said, "We’ve always tried to maintain a fund for charitable activities. We are really happy to be able to work with Dantri to help disadvantaged children and teachers at Khu Mang school site."
Nguyen Luong Phan, deputy editor-in-chief of Dantri, said, "We have completed 23 classroom projects across Vietnam. With the help of our readers, we hope to be able to help more people in remote areas this year."
