Readers donate VND109m to ill little boy

Dantri/DTiNews readers have sent VND109,300,000m (USD4,700) to help a poor mother in Hai Duong Province to continue medical treatment for her 13-month-old son.

"Our oldest son is in 8th grade. Everyone was happy when I gave birth to twins, Nguyen Gia Bao and Nguyen Hai Dang. At 20 days old, I noticed that Dang had strange behaviour so I brought them to the hospital. The doctor said he had partial seizures," Nguyen Thi Quyen said.

Bao wasn't breastfed since Quyen had to bring Dang to the hospital frequently. But while Bao learned how to walk, Dang can only cry and may not be unable to stand up or walk. Quyen said she once came to a hospital in Hanoi and felt desperate when she knew that she didn't have enough money for an examination.

"Quyen's father is a bit slow. He does any jobs he can to earn money. Luckily that Bao is still healthy," said Vu Xuan Tam, head of Phu Nhuan Village.

  

Quyen receives the donation

Quyen said she couldn't borrow anywhere else and was in tears when receiving the donation.

"My son's treatment can be continued now. I want to thank everyone for saving my son and my family. I'll never forget this kindness," she said.
