Two men rob a toll station in Dong Nai
Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, deputy head of HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Technical Service JSC, said the robbery occurred at 7.30 am. Two men ran into the toll station for HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway in Xuan Thanh Commune, Thong Nhat Commune and threatened the employees.Images extracted from the security camera show that the men wore black jackets with hats and masks. It looks like they used a machete and gun to threaten the employees at the station. The employees later ran after the men and caught one of them but the other men returned and used a gun to force them to release his accomplice.
It was later confirmed that the men took away over VND2bn and both are the employees at Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering JSC (VEC), the manager of HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway. According to the representative of VEC, the men also brought petrol bombs into the station.
Mother of one of two suspects said her son took the motorbike and left home on February 4. She hasn't been able to contact him and called for her son to turn himself in.
