Two new classrooms built under financial support of a Japanese organisation through Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper have opened in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa.

Two new classrooms built under financial support of a Japanese organisation through Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper have opened in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa.

The Vietnam Study Promotion Fund, Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper and authorities of Thanh Hoa Province’s Ba Thuoc District held an inaugurating ceremony for two new classrooms of Lung Cao 2 Primary School.

The VND300 million (USD13,043) project was funded by Japan's Shinnyo-en Buddhist Organisation through the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund and Dantri/DTiNews.

The ceremony saw the participation of the newspaper Deputy Editor-in-chief Nguyen Luong Phan; Ota Ichiro, director of Shinnyo-en Organisation’s social activity board and representatives from local authorities.

The two classrooms are located at Lung Cao 2 Primary School’s branch in Khu Khit, the most remote village of Ba Thuoc District.

The new classrooms, which replaced old ones which were built from bamboo, have become the 6th classroom project in Vietnam funded by Japan's Shinnyo-en Buddhist Organisation through the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund and Dantri/DTiNews.

At the ceremony, Dantri/DTiNews Deputy Editor-in-chief Nguyen Luong Phan thanked the Japanese organisation for the support to Vietnamese students. This is also expected to deepen the friendship among people of the two countries.

Art performance to mark the inauguration of the new classrooms

Earlier, Shinnyo-en Organisation funded the bridge construction in the Mekong Delta provinces of Kien Giang, Hau Giang and Ben Tre and the classroom construction in Ha Tinh, Ha Nam, Bac Giang, Nghe An and Thai Nguyen.

Ota Ichiro from Shinnyo-en Buddhist Organisation said that the agency will try to help build more classrooms and bridges for Vietnamese localities.

To date, Dantri/DTiNews has helped to build 23rd classroom work and 15th bridge across the country under the financial assistance of donors.
