They booked the tour for an overnight stay on the bay on the website Hotels.com to celebrate their honeymoon. However, on October 4, when they came to Tuan Chau Pier to complete procedures for the trip, it turned out to be that there was no cruise.
The couple informed the local authorities about the case
Thanks to support from the Ha Long Bay Management Board, Hoang Phuong and Tung Van cruise firms offered an alternative trip for the couple for free.
Quang Ninh Provincial authorities are investigating the case.
According to a representative from Quang Ninh Province’s Department of Tourism, so far this year, several people have been cheated when they booked hotels and cruise trips in Ha Long Bay.
The confirmation about the booked tour
Earlier, in May, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism requested a tourist boat service in Haiphong City to compensate a group of foreign travellers who complained about the cruise’s substandard services during a tour of Ha Long Bay.
