At around 9 am, the train SE5 which had left Hanoi Train Station for around 1km crashed into the man who was crossing the railway section near Le Duan Street, Dong Da District.

Although the driver tried to slow down, the train still hit into the man. The victim died on the spot.
The man, 30, was from Dong Da District, Hanoi.
In May, two train crossing guards in Thanh Hoa Province were detained and prosecuted following a train accident which left two dead and nine others injured.
