Car hit by train, leaving one dead and three injured

One person has died and three others have been seriously injured when a car was hit by a train in the northern province of Nam Dinh on August 1.

The incident occurred at around 8:20 am at Cat Dang Village, Yen Tien Commune, Y Yen District.

While crossing the railway, the four-seat car with four people inside collided with a train. One person in the car died while being taken to hospital, while three other faced severe injuries.

According to the initial information, warning lamps were installed at the railway section, but there was no barrier.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.

In May, two train guards in Thanh Hoa Province were detained and prosecuted following a tragic train accident which left two dead and nine others injured.
