Duong Van Ha and his family
"I'm very happy. We have received help from many people since our children were admitted to the hospital. We had enough money for their treatment. I'm grateful for your help," he said.
2-year-old Duong Van Cuong and 4-year-old Duong Van Tien have been completely treated and discharged. They still have to return to the hospital for regular check-ups. Ha said he would use the donation to raise the children, repair the deteriorating house and buy some buffaloes.
The local authorities are also helping them to get birth certificates for the children.
Nguyen Dai Phong, director of Central Highlands General Hospital, or the old Dak Lak General Hospital, expressed gratitude to the donors. "We hope Dantri/DTiNews will continue collaborating with the hospital to help disadvantaged patients," he said.
Duong Van Ha said their family were riding on a motorbike on June 18 when they collided with another motorbike. Ha and his wife only had grazes but their children both suffered concussion. Their children were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries and they lacked health insurance.
Ha and his wife earn a living through farm work.
