Police in HCM City's Go Vap District announced on July 6 that they will prosecute Le Nguyen Son for theft and using his 11-year-old son to carry out the crimes.

Son and his son pretended to be customers at various clothing and milk tea stores. While Son was attracting the attention of the sellers, his son was charged with stealing valuable items such as mobile phones and laptops.
However, their acts were recorded by several security cameras. After receiving the news, the police in Go Vap quickly investigated the case and detained Son.
According to the police, Son admitted having carried out three thefts in the district. He had stolen an iPhone 6 Plus and a Samsung Galaxy J7 at milk tea stores on Le Van Tho and Pham Van Chieu. In another case, he stole a laptop at a clothing store on Quang Trung Street.
Son admitted that he and his son had also stolen from many other people including four Vision motorbikes.
