Le Thi Ngoc takes care of her husband in the hospital
"Last year, he had an accident on the way home. When I came, he was unconscious and blood was pouring out from his ears. He had several brain operations at Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital, infection treatment at the National Hospital Of Tropical Disease and was transferred to the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine," she said.
Ngoc said she still didn't know how the accident happened. What she remembers is running to the scene and finding him covered in blood. She had to borrow money everywhere she could, relatives, the banks and the black market in order to cure him.
Dr Kieu Dinh Khoan said, "She cried a lot while taking care of him at the hospital. Her husband suffered from severe injuries. When he was first admitted, Hoang looked like he lost the will to survive and became lifeless."
But while his condition is starting to improve, his family lacks money to continue the treatment. Ngoc decided to bring him home despite knowing that he may be waiting for death.
"When our children went to the hospital, I knew that he has regained his senses. I should be happy, but we face a dead end," Ngoc said.
